Aloha Airlines
Aloha, the Hawaiian word expressing affection or love, is also the name of the regional airline headquartered in Honolulu. Aloha Airlines serves inter-island routes within the Hawaiian Islands and trans-pacific routes between Hawaii and six airports in the U.S. (Las Vegas, Oakland, Orange County, Reno, Sacramento, and San Diego).

  • Check-in times: Aloha Airlines passengers can check-in online as early as 24 hours prior to their flight, but no later then two hours from the scheduled departure time. For inter-island flights, travelers should check-in at least 60 minutes prior to departure. For transpacific (domestic) flights, travelers should check-in at least 90 minutes prior to departure.
  • Baggage allowance: Aloha Airlines permits one carry-on bag per person in addition to one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase, or laptop. Carry-on items may be as large as 8x14x22 inches, with a maximum weight of 20 pounds. On U.S. domestic flights (including inter-island) and flights between the U.S. mainland and Hawaii, travelers are allowed up to two pieces of checked baggage. Each bag should weigh no more than 50 pounds and not exceed 62 linear inches (length + width + height). Bags over 70 pounds will not be accepted. Travelers may check-in a golf bag in place of one piece of checked baggage on any of Aloha's domestic flights. Golf bags should contain no more than 14 clubs, 12 golf balls, and one pair of golf shoes.
  • Change to passenger name or flight: contact Aloha Airlines reservations for assistance with changing flight information
  • Child fares: infants under the age of two with a seat pay the applicable adult fare on inter-island and Hawaii-U.S. flights. Infants must be in an approved infant seat and there is a maximum of two infants per adult. Infants traveling in an adult's lap fly for free.
  • Senior fares: none.
  • Pet travel: Aloha Airlines will transport small domestic cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, and household birds within the State of Hawaii, but the airline does not transport pets between the Hawaiian Islands and the U.S. Mainland. Larger pets travel as checked baggage on a space-available basis. Charges range from $35 for animals of 50 pounds or less; $60 for animals 51-70 pounds; and $100 for animals between 71 and 100 pounds.

  • Legroom: seat pitch: 32” in economy class; 38” in First Class.
  • In-flight service: on inter-island flights, Aloha’s beverage service includes complimentary Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee and fruit juice before 11am, and Coca-Cola products after 11am. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
  • Air miles: Aloha Airlines offers AlohaPass, part of the United Airlines Mileage Plus program.
