(CAM) is a partnership of programs that share a fundamental belief: providing critical support services to families and individuals in need is an effective approach to helping them reach and sustain both economic and social self-sufficiency.
Our Vision is the staff and volunteers of CAM working together with the commitment and resources needed to offer the highest quality services that meet the expressed needs of our clients.
Description:

Community Action Marin operates 14 programs in five areas: BASIC HUMAN NEEDS, EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT, FAMILY DEVELOPMENT, EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING, and MENTAL HEALTH. Our Programs include:

Each program offers volunteer and employment opportunities geared toward specific program needs.
History:

Beginning in 1966 with one program and a modest Federal grant, Community Action Marin has become one of Northern California's oldest and largest provider of social services to individuals, families and children in need. Operating 14 diverse programs at 24 sites throughout Marin, CAM has been designated Marin County's official anti-poverty agency since its inception in 1966 by the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
